i am officially a bag lady.

i love bags. always have. likely always will. the new obsession...knitting bags.

and i want ALL-THE-KNITTING-THINGS with me at all times which is nearly impossible considering my fiber and yarn stash. i've recently tracked all my needles so i know what i have. i've acquired two bags over the past six months...no...actually it's more like five, wait, no six....um. let's see....one large bag, two medium project bags, three small project bags...ok...so...six it is. there's one at the store i lust for but at 70 dollars at the store it will have to stay. actually the one bag i got 30 dollars off from my frequent flyer card so that's the only reason i bought it but...yeah. addicted.

i like having small projects in their own bag. i like having extra yarn or spinning on hand. i like having knitting close by so i can do it anywhere anytime. what started this was that i wanted to knit on the train to NYC but didn't want the bag to sit on the seat or floor or have it big, we were walking around a lot that day. so i got a small one that had long handles to hang on my wrist. worked out great.

so. yeah. my name is stacey and i'm a bag lady. hi stacey! it's been 24 days since my last bag purchase.....

As my last post mentioned, I got a supported spindle, or five...and spun enough to ply on my new drop spindle... I've spun up quite a bit on those spindles! I made some baby booties and a hat! and started a new shawl - I also finished my gnomes - one I started last year and one that I managed to make IN TIME FOR A MKAL START AND FINISH! That's a completely new one for me. And then...another completely new to me thing - creating my own design. I couldn't finish the other shawl because I need a longer needle and can't get one until this week. I was searching for a half circle design. I tri...
