i am officially a bag lady.

i love bags. always have. likely always will. the new obsession...knitting bags. and i want ALL-THE-KNITTING-THINGS with me at all times which is nearly impossible considering my fiber and yarn stash. i've recently tracked all my needles so i know what i have. i've acquired two bags over the past six months...no...actually it's more like five, wait, no six....um. let's see....one large bag, two medium project bags, three small project bags...ok...so...six it is. there's one at the store i lust for but at 70 dollars at the store it will have to stay. actually the one bag i got 30 dollars off from my frequent flyer card so that's the only reason i bought it but...yeah. addicted. i like having small projects in their own bag. i like having extra yarn or spinning on hand. i like having knitting close by so i can do it anywhere anytime. what started this was that i wanted to knit on the train to NYC but didn't want the bag to sit on the seat or floor or have ...

i can only multitask if it's a knitting project...

this blog has fallen by the wayside of the many projects i am making...the test knitting thing...well hurricanes and loss of electricity happened way back then and i never got back up with the computer till much later. my father passed august 2012. the end of 2012 kinda sucked. it's been a year and a bit more. there's been ups and downs but as far as knitting goes...i've done more this past year than i have ever. for xmas last year i made the "almost mother in law" a cowl. the kitchner stitch connection looked like hell, but i finished it and gifted it mostly on time. i've since made some socks that didn't fit, but i know why now, a hat/cowl and started several other projects for the holidays...new hats for this year for each kid and another pair of socks with a lace pattern, i knit a mitten - with cables even! and a few other projects in the works. so i'm becoming more prolific with my knitting. i'm adding different skills to my reperto...
